In the initial phase of voting, Maharashtra will witness polling in five Lok Sabha constituencies, one of which is Nagpur, where Nitin Gadkari is contesting.

In the first phase of India's general elections, five Lok Sabha seats from Maharashtra will be contested. These constituencies are Nagpur, Chandrapur, Bhandara-Gondiya, and two others. Notable candidates include Union Minister Nitin Gadkari from Nagpur, aiming for his third consecutive win, and Sudhir Mungantiwar from Chandrapur. The BJP is competing in four of these seats, with their ally Shiv Sena in one. The Maha Vikas Aghadi alliance, comprising Congress, NCP, and Shiv Sena (under Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray), is the primary opposition. The Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi (VBA), led by Prakash Ambedkar, is also contesting in two seats. The counting of votes for all Lok Sabha seats will take place on June 4.
