BJP's Hyderabad candidate, Madhavi Latha, declares assets totaling ₹218 crore in her nomination for the upcoming Lok Sabha election.

K Madhavi Latha, the BJP candidate for Hyderabad's Lok Sabha constituency in Telangana, has disclosed assets totaling ₹218 crore in her nomination papers for the ongoing 2024 elections. Her movable assets amount to ₹165.46 crore, with immovable assets valued at ₹55.92 crore. According to reports, her family has a liability of ₹27 crore. Notably, they possess 2.94 crore shares in Virinchi Ltd, a company founded by her husband Vishwanath Kompalle, valued at approximately ₹94.44 crore at the current market price of ₹39 per share.

The upcoming Lok Sabha elections' fourth phase on May 13 will witness Hyderabad as a key battleground. The city is traditionally associated with Asaduddin Owaisi, the sitting MP and leader of the AIMIM party, known for his eloquence in Parliament. The Congress has nominated Mohammed Waliullah Sameer, aiming for a stronger presence in Hyderabad following their success in Telangana.
